On June 5, 2024, a seminar on attracting corporate investment to Fukuoka City was held, co-hosted by Fukuoka City and the Ministry of Information and Communications of Vietnam, with the cooperation of the Vietnam Software & IT Services Association (VINASA).
The seminar took place on June 5, 2024, at 14:00 at Lotte Hotel on Lieu Giai Street, Ba Dinh District, Hanoi.
It was attended by Fukuoka City Mayor Soichiro Takashima, major companies from Fukuoka City, and Vietnamese enterprises interested in investing in Fukuoka City.
In recent years, Fukuoka City has been experiencing rapid economic growth, positioning itself as the "Asian Business Hub" in Japan. By leveraging various geographical, economic, and social advantages, Fukuoka has been attracting businesses and startups from many countries, especially across Asia. Recently, there has been an increasing demand from Vietnamese IT companies to invest in Fukuoka or establish branch offices there.
Mayor Soichiro Takashima gave a presentation on the city's economic development potential. He also shared details of a large-scale project to reconstruct 30 modern office buildings concentrated in the city's central area.
Through this initiative, he emphasized that Fukuoka City aims to create a better business environment and provide opportunities for added value to both existing and new investors in the city.
Solashi representatives, including Shimaoe and Lam, also attended the seminar. Our CEO, Shimaoe, delivered a short speech to Fukuoka City and Japanese startup companies. According to Mayor Takashima, Fukuoka City declared itself a "Startup City" in 2012, later becoming a designated special strategic zone in Japan, implementing special measures to support startups. Shimaoe's speech aligned with this vision.
