On September 17, as the representative of Solashi Japan LLC, Mr. Shimazoe participated in "offdev#2 Summer LT Meeting in Taimee." At this event, he shared his journey as a startup founder. After graduating, he joined the IT department of Suntory and was responsible for large-scale systems. Later, he co-founded a company as CTO and CPO with a friend and expanded the business. However, after selling the startup, he shared the background of establishing Solashi Japan together with his Vietnamese friends.
Mr. Shimazoe experienced a major failure in his first offshore development collaboration, but he still recognized the advantages of offshore development. He emphasized the importance of sharing a vision with offshore partners and clearly communicating priority issues. Additionally, he stated that understanding different backgrounds and sharing the challenges in development can lead to a more effective collaborative relationship.
To conduct long meetings effectively, simple translation of words is not enough. In addition to regular meetings and periodic feedback, he places deep interest in the personal lives of team members. Through long meetings, he believes that the team can develop a common language and strengthen team cohesion.
Despite facing many challenges and failures, Mr. Shimazoe continues to believe in the potential of offshore development. He highlights key factors for success, including improving communication, implementing talent management strategies, managing and planning projects, sharing knowledge, and strengthening teamwork. Through these efforts, Mr. Shimazoe and his team aim to establish a solid foundation for future success.
As the founder of Solashi, Mr. Shimazoe has steadily grown his company while overcoming difficulties. In the future, we expect Solashi to bring even more innovation and make significant progress in development.
